Charming bling at Popham beach

Today the temperatures reached the 90s with high humidity and no wind, so I figured it would be a good day to go to the beach.  I spent and hour or so and dug up enough coins to pay for the 40 mile round trip in my 2017 Chevy Volt (about 9KWh X .15 = $1.35).  Actually, I don't pay for electricity in the summer because my solar power system generates a surplus, so I'm driving for free with no carbon footprint.

Popham is my favorite beach and is about 20 miles from me.  There is historic Fort Popham which is always interesting to visit, and Spinneys restaurant right on the beach if I get hungry.  Here is the fort.

I find a lot of aluminum tent pegs and left 2 with some young kids - a brother and sister who wanted to help me dig.  They each got one and were very happy to have dug them out themselves.  I also swing around the driftwood structures that people make.  I have found coins under them on occasion.

As I was winding down, I wandered around the places where people enter the beach from the parking area and got this "Trendy Fashion Bracelet" made by Betsey Johnson.   At first I thought it might be real gold but it is just "gold tone".  The things they call "trendy" today make me gag!
